How Do I Transfer My Domain To Another Company

  1. Log in to your Control Panel.
  2. Go to Domain Central.
  3. Select the domain you want to transfer.
  4. Click Transfer.
  5. Review the checklist. If any item shows an x instead of a check, then click on the pencil pencil to correct that item.
  6. Click Send Auth-Info Code to send yourself the domain's transfer authorization code. The email containing the code is sent to the email address displayed on-screen.

  7. The remaining domain transfer steps will be performed with your new company. You'll need to contact them for assistance with the rest of the domain transfer process.

Important: If your domain has expired or is expiring within the next 10 days, please contact us for assistance. Attempting to transfer an expired or expiring domain can sometimes cause unexpected complications and we want to ensure that your domain transfer occurs smoothly.

Domains Cannot Be Altered During A Registrar Transfer

While a domain is in the middle of a transfer, it cannot be altered. This includes renewing the domain, changing its Whois information, and updating its nameservers. You will either have to request the domain's current hosting provider to cancel the transfer, or wait until the transfer is complete before any changes can be made.
